At the Church

Continuing the religious nature of recent entries.....I have liked this church from the first moment I saw it. It's situated opposite a bus stop at a bend on the road at the top of a hill overlooking Budapest! Try that for a mouthful! I have never gone in but occasionally you see people in there. The road is poor, the pavement that winds past the site is as narrow a pavement as I have ever experienced. Unevenly dangerous especially considering the fact that the road is not wide enough for the bus to turn around without the driver taking a wide sweep. You have to wait until the bus has gone past before you use the footpath! The road to Heaven is...etc.
52 percent of all Hungarians are Catholic. The second major religion is Calvanism. (15%)
As with everything else in Budapest there is something exceedingly, charmingly Hungarian about this church.
