Marple Hall

On the latest Superlative Walk, we ploughed through some tangled woodland, along the Peak Forest Canal (shown here) and visited the attractive (but redundant) Chadkirk Chapel before arriving at the site of the superlative for the day.  Marple Hall, long ago demolished, was the home of Henry Bradshaw, the first signatory on the death warrant of King Charles I, Britain's first regicide.
