Magnetic

Right, there's a new side-project on the go from today. Anyone who's a regular to this journal might remember the days of klammeresque and one or two people may even know about the existence of spassky, colour projects that I've had on the go in the past.

The new project is called 69 Love Blips and is going to run for 69 days, when it will finish. Each day will represent a song from 69 Love Songs, the 1999 triple disc opus from The Magnetic Fields. Some days the blip will be very literal, other days an allusion to something in the lyrics, maybe something a little hand-made or something more abstract altogether. There will be colour, there will be black & white and the pictures will be square in format (the first time I've ever broken away from portrait orientation), imagine them if you like as potential little 7" single covers.

In other news, there's been huge exposure for someone else's new record today. Here's the link.....to summat else entirely. It was on my headphones when I took this photograph. He probably could do with the coverage a bit more than that other fella.
