high jump for kids!

I spent the day at the early childhood centre in Chipata!  Some of the kids didn't come today (school was closed yesterday because of the heavy rains) and it was a cool and overcast day!  It was the usual story of teacher centred learning.  I brought a lot of bags of rubbish with me and the kids really enjoyed just playing.  We went outside and did some running games and this 'high jump'.  Then I met some of the committee members for the school and had good discussions about how they can improve some things with little money!

Tomorrow I am supposed to be going to South Luangwa for the weekend with Fidelis who is travelling from Malawi!  Unfortunately he was delayed leaving Chitipa and didn't leave until 6pm today which means he will arrive late tomorrow here unless he managed to get some quick public transport!  Its a long journey to the Zambian border!  Am really hoping he get here in good time!
