A visit to Beth Chatto

We took our new car down to Essex, learning gradually a little more about the best way to drive it.

We had a lovely visit to The Beth Chatto Gardens, and subsequently spent quite a lot of money in their extensive plant sales area.  I took quite a few photos, but most of them were taken for record purposes - we were looking for inspiration for plants to give autumn colour in our garden.  

Also, after seeing the grass in their flower beds, I am keen to give our grass bed a makeover.  Many of our grasses are getting out of hand, are tending to be invasive and thuggish, and need to be severely cut back, if not given the chop completely.
