Ouse

Sarah and had a very pleasant day in York visiting museums, shopping and eating. The Ouse was very high - although it had obviously been higher in recent days by the look of the mud along the banks. 

We had the obligatory stroll down The Shambles, where Sarah tormented me by downing a chocolate shot - see extras - and showing absolutely no remorse! Diagon Alley was based on The Shambles and in recent years it has started to become a Harry Potter theme street - now a potion shop has been added to the various magic/wizard/broom/wand shops. The hoards of tourists plainly love it!
