Diary of an Edinburgher

Cinnamon bun!

I met my erstwhile acupuncturist yesterday. He asked how I was keeping, and I told him it wasn’t my knees, it was my back. 'I can fix that!' he declared... I told him I’d think about it (though probably not).

JR had her two gym sessions. Jordan was due to come to take Archie, but I looked out, saw the dreich weather, and told him not to. He'll come on Monday now - he's on paternity leave and so can chose his days.

So when JR went to the supermarket, I took Archie out. I can easily be lured out, even on dreich days, with the thought of a coffee and perhaps a comestible.

Actually, it wasn’t wet, or even cold. We had a wee visit to the second cafe, having been dragged past the first one. I didn’t mean to have a pastry, but my hand shot out and pointed to it when I ordered my coffee. I was going to take half home for JR, but I forgot... I love Archie's pose here - he's trying not to look at the pastry, LOL.

We then walked through the Meadows and met a chap with a wee Schnauzer, Willow, and a Bedlington cross who was crazy about tennis balls. We also met a puppy, and Archie was OK with her, even though she was quite barky.

On the way home, we bumped into Trixie's mum, Ann, but she was too buy to pop in for a cuppa. After washing Archie's legs and beard, I flicked on the gas fire (using the remote control, of course). Such a pleasure now not to have to haul in wood and coal and set and clear the wood burner daily. Roll on winter.
