Another one for the chop

It's always sad to see the mighty trees on the Meadows with the orange cross of death from Dutch elm disease. Fourteen of the 150 year old elms on the Meadows will have been marked to cut down during 2012 - though its good to know that the wood is being used by Scottish Furniture Makers Association to make unique pieces of furniture and that the trees will eventually be replaced.
