Northern Flicker Coming in For a Landing

I took a rare day off from work today and headed to Huntley Meadows Park.  As soon as I got in the park, I saw Northern Flickers hanging out in a tree. The sun had not come over the trees yet but fortunately there was enough light to capture this moment (a little additional light added after the fact).  I ran into fellow blipper osuzanna and had a nice 15 minute chat with her before she headed off.  

It was great to be outdoors with the camera again. Now home and plan on taking a nap.  Have a great weekend everyone!
