Sir Walter!

A misty start to the day out in Gorebridge , after much yakking we three pals of old boarded the train for Edinburgh. First a walk from Waverley station to Waterloo Place then I decided we should walk down Jacob’s ladder to Old Calton Road there’s a lotta steps ! Then we stopped for coffee! We eventually arrived at Holyrood Palace , when my friends visited the Palace I visited the Romanov exhibition in the Queens Gallery which I really enjoyed.
Afterwards we walked to Toppings books newly opened this week! A must for all book lovers!! We browsed for a while!
Then we meander along towards to the West End in & out of shop to our destination The Caledonian Waldorf Astoria, we three had met there a fair while ago! We indulged in the most wonderful afternoon tea for 3 hours!! The GM stopped by to say hullo & the Executive Housekeeper ! We were each given a wee goody bag too!
My friend who lives in Oz was married on the hotel a fair few years ago too, we had great fun reminiscing about that day & about our time working in the hotel!
Much yakking & lots of laughter! We walked back along Princes Street to walk off some our food! & said hullo to Sir Walter Scott !
Said our Cheerios at Waverley station & each went our separate ways!
