Our old DVD player's motor was a bit tempermental for a few months. Towards the end I got fairly good results from unscrewing the lid and manually spinning the disc into action.

Timed to perfection, it finally died last week halfway through the final episode of this . We got a new one on Friday at Richer Sounds -where uber sales bod Jordan did us a cracking deal (and a free mug). I'll save the picture of it for the next attack of blippers block.
