BCAM - Day 2
I missed BCAM yesterday as I wanted to blip the China National Day sign and I also forgot ... even though this October, I am more aware of breast cancer than I've ever been!
I had my biopsy today to determine whether this lump in my left breast is cancerous or not. In August, I'd had a mammogram, ultra sound and FNA (fine needle aspiration) to determine that, but they were all inconclusive and the specialist then decided that a biopsy was required.
It was not a pleasant procedure as the local anaesthesia didn't quite work! Anyhoo, I got through it, and am pleased its over. Will get the results next Thursday. In the meantime, its business as usual, no need to worry, till I have to, or not.
My friend Rosanna accompanied me, and we had a little wonder around this park after. Couldn’t believe my luck when I saw this pink church!
Had a lovely evening with some new friends later in the evening, although I probably should have avoided having a drink this evening. Anaesthesia and alcohol are not a good combination, as I found out.
As in many Octobers off late, we do encourage/invite you to click on this link to help women who need it, receive free mammograms. But please do whatever you need to to raise awareness if you can, thanks so much :).
