Burnt water

Has just spent 5 minutes trying to locate the obviously burning smell in the kitchen. Turns out you can burn water. This is what used to be my shiney bottom saucepan of my steamer.....
On the up side new spuds had a nice smokey taste to them ;)
So ashamed first time ive ever burnt water!!! :o
