The new bridge
When we're in Benmore Gardens - and followers of these blips will know that this occurs at least once a week - we usually go round the far side of the pond on our way back to the car. Today, we were a bit rushed - Mr PB had been working earlier in the afternoon, and we had a dinner date in the evening, so the walk had a brief hour to happen in - so we cut the corner and took the shorter route.
And so we were blessed with this view - of the recently renovated bridge to the island in the middle of the pond, surrounded by golden foliage - as well as two squirrels, the first darting across our path, the second announcing his presence by the noise of claws on bark before scampering off across the grass.
Because it was all so lovely, and because I have 45 extras left and the year is passing, I'm adding some lovely leaves on newly-mulched soil and another photo of the golden woodland on the Japanese hillside, one of my favourite spots.
(And as I'm catching up on Saturday afternoon, I'd better start wondering what today's photo will be; it's looking gey dreich outside ...)
