Garstang 0 FC Oswestry 0 (abandoned)

The shortest football match I have ever attended. 

I have been to a number of abandoned games over the years as well as some that were postponed just before kick off but this was entirely different as the game started but lasted a grand total of 3 minutes. An Oswestry player broke his leg in what looked like a 50-50 challenge and was clearly in a huge amount of pain. There was no way he could be moved and an ambulance was called for but there was no telling when it would arrive and I think some of the players had lost their appetite for the game anyway. It was eventually called off at 3:30. 

I just checked and it looks like he wasn't taken to hospital until around 5pm although Oswestry seem to think the break wasn't as bad as first feared.
