Pelargonium sidoides flowers
I have a favourite plant I bought at a nursery about ten years ago called a pelargonium ardens, which I've blipped many times. My market friend Chris, who sells home grown plants, showed me this pelargonium sidoides a few weeks ago, which is quite similar in its flower stems and tiny blooms, although their colour is this purple rather than the deep red/black of the ardens.
I had to buy it immediately as my p. ardens is beginning to show signs of age and blooms much less profusely than before. I saw today that the p. sidoides has produced two new flower stalks and buds which suggests its new home on my study's windowsill suits it rather well.
