A perfect day for river rowing on the Cam. A pleasant, slight breeze although the sun was quite low in the sky and sun glasses were needed. A flash of red blades in the water and the red sweater suggest 'The Lady Margaret ' Boat Club, St John's college, Cambridge. Lady Margaret Beaufort was the benefactor and founder of St John's and the mother of Henry VII. His father was John Beaufort, Duke of Somerset.
