Back Blip from Akaroa

Sure has been a stormy day. No thunder but plenty of wind and rain along with some hail. I noticed some snow on the hills in the evening.

 I hadn't see a Tui until today. It was wonderful watching five of them flying around enjoying the bird feeder and the rain.

In 2009 and 2010, the Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust took on an ambitious project to return Tui to the peninsula, after they disappeared about 20 years ago. It is great seeing them doing so well again in this area.
