“My” Berlin apartment

I always stay in the same place here, courtesy of my dear friends Martin and Barbara, who own a spare flat just for visiting friends. The main picture is the view of the courtyard from my balcony. Extra #1 is the “study,” a room whose sole purpose is to provide a comfortable reading spot. Extra #2 shows the two blue items I bought for the flat when I was here six months ago: a French-press coffeepot and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin. Amazingly, no one had drunk up the gin in the meantime!
