Flying towards a new year

This was taken on our annual family boat trip out into Cardigan Bay for the new year. We all hire a boat and go out on it for a couple of hours. It's always far too cold and choppy but with the copious amounts of hot chocolate that my Mum makes, we always enjoy ourselves. I spotted this lone seagull flying back towards land - he looked so beautifully calm and quiet that I envied him from my cramped spot on the boat.
