One of those days

I have been telling JJ for a while now that there's a funny smell in his office.  It wasn't until yesterday evening that he discovered what it was, when he found a puddle or two on the carpet.

Long story short, the washing machine is plumbed in at the back of the kitchen and backs onto his office wall, and was leaking from a connection that the gas boiler man fitted when he put in a new boiler last year.

Whilst he may not be to blame, at the time of fitting the boiler he did manage to leave radiator valves open overnight which caused damage to four of our new carpets and decorations in the lounge.  Just saying.

Anyway JJ has tightened everything up and put washers on the screws.  He's now busy trying to dry the floor, skirting boards, underlay and carpet in his office, which will have to be renewed, but in the meantime we want everything dried.
