I was going to do mono Monday.. shadows..but we've had no sun. So the plan was to get a glass and a light  and do something clever with it ! Lol
But at the back of the display cabinet was this glass.
It's not used.. because it's too special to use. It's hand painted and there's a good chance the paint would wash off. It wasn't expensive but that's not important.
My mum bought it off a craft stall  for me when she went on holiday in Yugoslavia..yes that long ago! ( late 1980s) She wrapped it in her jumper and cradled it all the way back home and somehow it survived the journey.
Not long after, all the upheavals  in Yugoslavia  began and the  country was split.
Mum died 21 years ago, so the glass is even more precious and it triggers lots of nice memories.
