Roselle
Or Jamaican Sorrel as it is sometime called.
Hibiscus tea is a herbal tea made as an infusion from crimson or deep magenta-colored calyces (sepals) of the roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) flower. It is consumed both hot and cold. It has a tart, cranberry-like flavor
An older Amish man gave me some plants late in the summer. He said the women never got a chance to plant them. I always like to try a new plant each year in my garden and had not picked anything this year. I was excited for the introduction and plants to try as well. I think it will be one I will plant again. I plan to collect seeds to start next year. This Hibiscus is closely related to okra and the flowers are very similar
