Day 281/19. New arrival at Marwell.
The newly born Grévy's Zebra foal at Marwell today. Less than 2 weeks old.
The Grévy's zebra, also known as the imperial zebra, is the largest and most threatened of the three species of zebra, the other two being the plains zebra and the mountain zebra. Named after Jules Grévy, it is found in Kenya and Ethiopia.
Grevy’s are taller, have larger ears, and have narrower stripes than the much more common plains zebras.
Cute though.....
