Flamingo & Chick

This is the first flamingo chick born at Pensthorpe Natural Park, and A and I went to visit it today and have a walk around. Its parent was getting a bit irritated at this point and puffing up its feathers and telling off the other flamingos. The chick is only about two and a half weeks old. There is a bit of concern for the chick as it should be born in May time, not late September. The poor thing was shivering away by its parent's foot. I've posted another photo as an Extra of both parents with the chick. The park also has red squirrel kittens which were running around with endless energy and far too quickly to get a good photo!
