Holey mushrooms

I have been watching these mushrooms grow larger and larger in the lawn.  What is left of the one in the foreground measures at least six inches across.  I haven't found out who has been chipping away at them but there was a pheasant asleep nearby early this morning as it was getting light.  Or may be it was another slug!

A few showers today but the sun is shining and it is not too cold.  Supermarket this morning, farm office work this afternoon as we have the Farm Assurance inspector visiting tomorrow.  Fingers crossed as it is difficult to trade without that annual qualification.
