By coincidence I wore a Bowie t-shirt for the first time today. Yesterday was 41 years since the release of 'Changes'. Had no idea I would switch on 6 Music and hear Lauren Laverne say "coming soon, the new Bowie song". Had I misheard? I had heard nothing of any new release. So I await in anticipation. His website says the song was produced by Tony Visconti, and the video was filmed in Berlin above the car factory where Bowie used to live. Could the song herald a return to the brilliance of the Berlin Trilogy? Soon, says Laverne. Soon. And I do not have to wait long. I turn up the radio, and....
