8/365 Remembering the important things

I had a really rubbish day today with one thing after another having felt so positive yesterday when I posted our motto. All of my good intentions of having some time to myself at lunchtime to play with my new camera went out of the window.

I had a late meeting after work and Dom had to take the girls swimming so it was nearly 7.00 before I got to see them which had given me far to much time to stew and fester over what had happened today.

But.............. as anyone with 5 year olds will tell you if ever anything is guaranteed to kick you into touch it's a 5 year old desperate to tell you about their day, how Daddy didn't follow our usual routine at swimming (apparantly the boys changing room isn't as good as the girls) and how Daddy got beeped by a lorry on the way home (I'm still to investigate this)!!

It helped to put everything into perspective for me really and having not had a chance to even think of a photo all day I went upstairs to find my youngest 5 year old (by 2 minutes) assuming her usual position in bed - well when she's in her own bed as opposed to mine!!

Just a reminder for me that there really are more important things in life to worry about..............
