Walking above Py

We walked above Py today, about 10k and 450 metres of ascent. We passed the workers who are restoring the burnt out old school just visible in the extra. It would have been cheaper to knock it down but the villagers did not want to lose their childhood memories even though the building has not been used as a school for some years.  It was good to have a couple join us who have just moved into the village.  They have moved into a house owned by two friends of ours who sadly passed away earlier in the year. Incidentally, they were thinking of buying a property somewhere in France but eventually decided on our village, the deciding factor being the ability to continue ringing bells!
