No gin today
I get to the keynote in plenty of time. Abeba Birhane is speaking In Defence Of Uncertainty. It’s a wide ranging talk, starting with Descartes and ending with a stark warning about the need for engineers to take personal responsibility for there ethics of their work.
The rest of the day has some interesting sessions, but I duck out regularly to work on my Friday talk.
Tonight’s social is at Hemma - a Swedish themed bar by Parliament. I chat with Chris Corriere, sip a pint, and eat salad. Then, it’s back through the park to nail the slides.
