New Year, New Look

How excited was Carey this morning? You would have thought it was Christmas all over again :-)

One minute I was chatting away to him, the next he was telling me he would call me back as his door bell was ringing. All I could think of was "rather you than me" as a rather large pallet of our new style leaflets were being delivered to his house first thing this morning.

I was beginning to think he had forgotten about our call as over 30 minutes had passed by, however just as I was about to give up, a rather breathless Carey called back and explained that after much huffing and puffing all the boxes were now finally stashed in his shed :-)

So in between deep breaths as he got his breath back he explained that they looked even better than he imagined and hopefully from the picture above you'll all agree.

As you can see Oor Wullie now has a nice tartan background (it's the Kiltwalk tartan if you didn't know - available as a scarf or top quality kilt AT COST to our Kiltwalkers) and some cracking photos from last years events.

They all feature the amazing Team Summer, while rugby legend Chris Paterson fronts up Edinburgh, Hampden to Loch Lomond is two very happy/delirious Kiltwalk babes, and Speyside shows the scenic Moray Firth coast.

The insides of the leaflets are even cooler, honest.

So it's all getting a bit real again as we're now on the home straight for Hampden to Loch Lomond and Edinburgh, counting down the months rather than saying it's "next year" :-)

For you lot it's time to step up the training and the fundraising, or even more importantly getting your mates to sign up!

41% of the many hundreds now signed up for HLL have ticked the box when they registered saying they heard about it from a friend. So thanks for that and please keep it up.

Lastly, if anyone can take a few leaflets and posters and pester/politely ask their local shops and businesses to display them please get in touch - it would make a massive difference.
