Surprised both Luna & me when German Post/DHL started using their electric vans earlier this year even in such rural areas as ours. Still some criticism from our Postman Pat as a user of the technology & possibly more when winter gets underway if the heating doesn't work. He is though as a strong environmentally aware person that something needs to happen.

The company that builds them is a 100% German Post daughter & although they know they aren't primarily in the car-building business, they are finding it hard to sell it or to get the big contracts landed. Plans for China & USA production are in the pipeline but all a bit sluggish.

Now that she can't hear the van drive up, Luna has taken to lying out at the front of the house so that she gets spoiled rotten by Postman Pat when he arrives. Also means her barking & whinging alerts us to his arrival.
