The Bottle Bank

A very busy varied day with meetings to discuss future Probus Matters.

Afterwards, I did some shopping and then a trip to the local bottle bank to recycle glass jars and bottles. The glass containers had just been emptied so the sound of bottles dropping into empty bins was really "smashing" as well as loud.

I do recall as a child taking these to the shops and obtaining money for each. I think the bottles were then washed and reused. I believe that bottles could be reused many times over.

Just next to the Bottle Bank the Council are extending the play park by building a very interesting skateboard facility. Of course it is fenced off, and taking an interesting foto proved too difficult against the low sun despite several attempts.
