of Vienna international centre/UNO-City and other modern buildings and the Donau-Tower. 
We started not early today. The weather looked so much better and we walked to the Mariahilferstrasse. The whole street free of traffic for pedestrians On both sides all the possible shops one can imagine.
We walked to the MQ (Museum Quarter) and after sitting on a bench took the Underground nr.2 to Praterstern and changed into the nr. 1 to the Alte-Donau. At the station we decided to follow the Promenade of the Untere Alte Donau. At first the summerhouses had all an entry to the river, and we almost thought of going back, but then it all changed and could we walk directly along the river. It was nice that at many, many points there were pretty rest places with benches, and we sat at different spots and enjoyed the view of the water and trees at the other side of the river. At some point there were lots of swans Swimming, and we saw a Young Woman Jumping into the water.
We walked to the end of the Alte Donau and could there take the Underground 2 to the Karlsplatz and a bus to reach home again.
A lovely day, nice to be far away from the busy streets.
