Imagine this panorama is from home!
Those last days are days of a final meet up with friends here and there and this eve we got to the house of the daughter of our our beloved friend here, who passed away last Xmas. Her daughter told me they still feel their mourning as her mum was a very active and positive woman who always brought love & life along...and Finnish-Greeks whom I met in the streets here those past months also told me they miss their friend lots and lots.... And we miss her lots as she was like a Queen Bee, known and befriended with many. Her daughter and son and man, come closer now as they start to talk together of their mourning, what will help them, I imagine.
Anyway, her daughter and family have this panorama as view from their home!! What a view!!
Her husband works as coast-guard here on Crete; but now with the new wave of asylumseekers sent across the Greek Pelagos by Erdogan from Turkey, her man is called to another island (like others are too) to serve there and assist in accommodating the refugees! I fear the flow of refugees will increase crazily in the coming weeks.
In the extra, 3 glasses of wine, for Sweetheart and his Dutch friend here and me; as Sweetheart had cooked a lovely meal for us 3. The wine is from the grapes we collected 3 weeks ago... it's a little Spumente now and not yet all ready, but becoming a nice rose.. its color really like peaches; its taste nice fresh and sweet, nothing peachy.
And then in the eve I was with another friend together, also to say goodbyes for now; and we went to the central library where a presentation of Iran as Touristical country was! Iran's embassador (with glasses, the other is his translator) had come from Athens to be present this eve! There are more reasons for him to be here in Chania, but those we weren't told ofcourse... diplomacy?!
Thank you all lots for reacting & *ing... I'm short of time at pc now, so I try to react and otherwise... later
