First Flakes

Piper didn't want her dad to shovel the snow off the deck so she laid down on the snow pile, curled up and fell asleep.  She was so cozy that she wouldn't even look up and smile for the camera.  I think she likes water and snow equally.  As soon as she sees one or the other, she dives right in. :-))

As you can see from my blip, the weather forecast was right.  It was 23 this morning, so a 60 degree temperature drop in less than 24 hours!  It's going to drop into the teens tonight.  PD already has the fire going. :-))

Fang went to the ophthalmologist vet this morning and is scheduled for eyelid surgery on Tuesday.  The vet tech had a lot of experience and was able to hold him still without any help (miracle!) and the doctor got a really good look.  He thinks the surgery will have a good result and Fang should feel much better as soon as he wakes up.  Fingers crossed!

I am grateful that Piper's grooming appointment isn't until next week so she still has copious amounts of fur to keep her warm.  She always needs a "deshedding" before she grows her winter coat.
