Manos del Uruguay
I found this wool, which I must have had for a long time as I have no idea where I got it from, or why. It is beautiful yarn - 30% silk, 70% Merino wool - and it was produced in Uruguay in a social cooperative. I suspect I bought it at a show and was attracted to the colours, which I still am.
So I decided to make a scarf and chose a 10 row lace pattern. It takes some concentration to keep the pattern right, but I like how it is turning out. Note the picot edging. I had no idea how to do this and had to learn - by the fourth attempt I was confident in a new skill.
