Gales and rain

a sitting
and knitting,
cake-baking,
rest-taking,
jigsaw-doing,
chocolate-chewing
day.

Felt like staying in bed all day, but we have been grocery shopping and brought home flowers to cheer us and fish'n'chips to feed us (followed by home-made pear and blackberry crumble and custard): all winter comforts! It's a day for reading, too, but I've only 60 pages left of my current read, and I don't want Anne Tyler's "Clock Dance" to end!
