Afternoon treats

Today was the day for the “ladies who travel” to go on their monthly night out.  However, two of our group are in the village play tonight and tomorrow, so we decided to go out for tea and cake in the afternoon instead.  We chose Taylormade Treats in a local village for today’s outing.  There is a very glittery picture of a Buddha on the wall which seems at odds with the design of the cafe, but they do have “Buddha Bowls” on the menu.  3 of us had freshly baked scones which came with butter, jam and cream - we all have our different preferences, and I can’t stand cream, so mine just had butter and jam - still lovely.  A had millefeuille and it looked yummy.  The waitress said she can’t pronounce it so calls it Millie!  The fifth member of our group couldn’t join us, but is probably eating something very interesting out in Bolivia!  We are planning our Christmas night out now, and we still have to think of somewhere to go in November.
