Nice and Cosy

This is (probably!) the very last blip I'll squeeze out of the work we had done on our roof and chimney.

After the various mini-disasters with soot and mortar descending down the chimney and landing in the fireplace, we had the chimney swept recently and today the gas man came to service the coal-effect gas fire itself. So now it's safe to use again to keep us warm and cosy.

(We don't actually use it all that much, as the central heating is pretty effective, but it's nice on a really cold night - or when we want to heat the room quickly, as we only heat it when we're expecting to use it and can be caught out.)
