Lift-off!

Spent some time at the allotment, bit of digging, raking, extracting compost from bottom of bins, putting a portion of pumpkin top-growth into the top of same, etc etc. There were a few bits of food to collect - some green beans, a nice cavalo nero - left a pak choi till next visit.

Was very pleased to find Madame Bee sunning herself on a squash leaf; in fact she must have been trying to warm up for take off, since as I watched her she started making little run-and-jumps, as if trying to ascertain if she had enough energy to lift off. Last time I clicked the shutter, she just became airborne! (She was fairly huge, btw - royalty, I suspect).
