Perfect day

We planned this one way back.  Get the fire pit established, when you get it set up, let's have an impromptu lunch.  Well, we did manage to get our fire pit set up this morning and the neighbours duly arrived with their offering of spatchcock chicken.  We didn't cook it on the pit as we were unsure about cooking times etc. It was oven cooked and we did eat it at lunch, after Naomi had served us with an amazing cold buffet starter that she "just whisked up".  And lunch turned into afternoon drinks and then into a fireside singsong as the sun went down.
