Atwater Market.

After a very easy flight but long taxi ride in from the airport ( I will never complain about UK traffic jams again) we arrived at Isla’s apartment yesterday afternoon. She has moved to the old centre of Montreal about 10 mins walk from the Lachine canal and harbour area.
This morning we walked along the canal to the old market to get some ingredients for tonight’s tea. As always the displays of fruit and veg were fantastic, with also an incredible number and varieties of pumpkins to buy. I’d forgotten that Halloween was a big deal over here. It was a fair hike to the market so we cycled back on the city bikes that are easy to hire and cycle on the designated cycle lanes. This afternoon we walked to the Bell Centre and got tickets for the ice hockey tomorrow which I’m thoroughly looking forward to.
