Hiding From The Sun

Much of Australia is experiencing extreme temperatures with strong hot winds. AS a consequence many areas have suffered from wild fires that have destroyed homes. Here in Maleny we are okay though the heat means it's best to stay indoors in the shade.

That's what this moth thought too - hiding under the overhang around the house. I now know (thanks to Google) that Australia has 30000 types of moth!

This one's name (Anisazyga pieroides) is not as pretty as its delicate lacy appearance.
