A Celebration of All Things 'Delia'!

M and I went to a special celebration dinner at Norwich City Football Ground in honour of Delia's 50 years as a cookery writer.  As you can see from the photo I have a few Delia recipe books, I'm a huge fan!  Delia greeted us all at the door (despite there being at least 300 of us), then we were served champagne and canapes before sitting down to dinner, all Delia's recipes of course.  The food was delicious (which was just as well as the event was hosted by 'Delicious' magazine), then Delia was able to answer questions from us afterwards.  We met some lovely people and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Just the thing to perk me up!
Although we only live 20 miles from Norwich, the event wasn't due to end until midnight, so staying over in the hotel at the ground seemed the sensible thing to do, although I've never had a view of a Premier League football pitch from the bedroom window before!  (see extra).  The lights stay on through the night to keep the grass growing apparently.
