Me and my shadow

One of those days when the light is both glorious and a b————-y nuisance. We’ve been to Housesteads today (followed by Chesters) and had a very lovely day, eating our lunch from a seat that overlooked the panorama of the Tyne valley. I didn’t spot my shadow until I saw the image on my iPad, but I still prefer this one for its warmth and colour. It’s years and years since I was last here and I think they’ve done so much to the site since then. There’s a really well done video that they play in the visitors centre that sets the scene beautifully. I think we’ve discovered another bit of Northumberland we’ve fallen in love with.
