Three Snipe
I got the bus up and walked from the main road along to the hide at RSPB The Loons. I was glad of the shelter as some pretty heavy showers passed through. The rain didn't bother 8 snipe which were feeding on the weedy islands in front of the hide. A few more snipe around and the usual curlews, greylag, lapwings, ravens, a few redwing and a brief flythrough by a hen harrier. I walked to Marwick and had coffee in the Fisherman's Huts, then back and up the cliff path to Marwick Head. A single wheatear by The Choin, a few twite, more ravens, fulmars up there, then along to the palace and the bus.
