Little Free Libraries

A pretty quiet day today..we think we deserve it after too much activity…and I think we are still “recovering” from being rear ended on the freeway on our way home from the island wednesday night.    Not to worry.  No injuries.   One of those things where a car 4 in front of us slowed down and veered off to the shoulder and everyone in the very busy line braked down fast…EXCEPT the woman behind us (5th car) who was too close and didn’t stop in time.   Feel sorry for her as she had a new car which just might be totaled.  Our lovely new Volvo has very minor scratches and damage to bumper.    Waiting for the estimate.  Still distressing.   I think no more driving home at night.

So I did not go out except for a walk.   Yesterday a new little library appeared across the street from us (extra)    They do keep popping up.   Started by one person in 2009, it is the world’s largest book sharing movement, with over 90,000 Little Free Libraries around the world.     Take a book, leave a book.  You can send for a kit to make or make your own with their guidelines and register it.    The blip was seen on our walk…a memorial to someone who must have lived in that house…clearly a custom copy.  Someone had a good time making this...
