Monfort

We drove over to Sarlat, stopping for a picnic lunch along the way.  The pic is taken in Montfort.  The Castle (see extra) was once inhabited by Cathars, enough provocation for Simon de Monfort to burn it to the ground in 1214.  Bizarrely, the village was then named after him!
