Under the bridge...

on another lovely day. Frost overnight then sun and blue skies all day, perfect.
This bridge is three hundred years old. Some years ago, it was to be strengthened to enable heavier vehicles to cross. A crane was to be brought from Europe and three days set aside for the work to be done. When the crane arrived it could not position itself any way to be of use! The bridge is in an incline on a bend and high above the water. The work remained undone, so the eighteenth century workmanship proved adequate for all but juggernauts!! Just as well for the surrounding roads are unsuitable for them!
